When you visit our specialty clinic without any specific complaints—for example, upon the recommendation of your primary care physician—our surgeon will take your medical history and then perform a physical examination. Even if you come to us with specific complaints or symptoms, we will still begin the appointment with a discussion of your general health, a review of your test results, and a general physical examination.
Next, we will conduct a detailed examination of the condition or disease causing your symptoms. Based on the information we gather and your examination, we will determine the surgical diagnosis and, if necessary, refer you for specialized tests, laboratory tests, or imaging studies to confirm the diagnosis. Depending on the clinical picture, our surgeon will prescribe medication, outpatient surgery, or surgical care requiring several days of hospitalization.
