My ars poetics is holistic, treating the whole person and not the disease. My work as a general practitioner, where I deal with a wide range of illnesses and have had the opportunity to follow the lives of several generations, helps me in this. At the same time, I believe that truly effective treatment can only be achieved by involving the patient in their treatment, taking maximum account of their autonomous choices and needs, and providing individual, personalised care. The professional guidelines are only a guide to treatment, but it must be individualised and based on individual assessment.

Job experience
I have worked and continue to work in many regions of the health sector. I worked for more than 10 years as a hospital consultant in a department with an internal gastroenterology profile, and for almost two decades as a specialist in a public specialist clinic, where I performed weekly gastroenterology consultations and endoscopic examinations. In addition, I have been working for almost as many years in a small town general practice where, in addition to my daily work, I am actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training as a university lecturer in general practice.
