I was born in Syria in 1960. I graduated from secondary school in 1978, then in 1978–79 I attended the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Damascus, where I completed the first year. In October 1979 I came to Hungary on a scholarship. In 1979–1980 I studied at the International Preparatory Institute, and after completing it I was admitted to the medical university.
From 1980 to 1986 I studied at the Faculty of General Medicine of Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, and after completing my studies I have been working to this day at the Bethesda Children’s Hospital of the Reformed Church in Hungary. In 1990 I passed my board examination in Neonatology and Paediatrics. In 1991, in addition to my paediatric work, I joined the Radiology Department. In 1994 I obtained specialist qualification in Radiology. From 2000 to the present I have been head of the hospital’s Radiology Department as Chief Physician. In 2013, alongside my work, I obtained an MSc qualification at the Management Training Center of Semmelweis University.
