He qualified in rheumatology and physiotherapy in 1969 and in clinical pharmacology in 1972. He trained at several institutions abroad and in Hungary, worked for 25 years at the National Institute of Rheumatology and Physiotherapy, for 15 years as head of the rheumatology department of the Flór Ferenc Hospital in Pest County, and for 8 years at the rheumatology outpatient clinic. For twelve years he was head of the Clinical Pharmacology Unit of the ORFI and a research associate. In recent years, he has been a specialist rheumatology consultant at several medical institutions in Budapest.
