I am a board-certified internist, and the topic of my second board exam has come up several times. However, for me, internal medicine offers the opportunity to view the patient as a whole and understand the connections. That’s why, when patients come in unsure if they’re in the right place, I always reassure them that they definitely are. We can discuss their symptoms, the examination plan, and their options, and while I may not always have the solution, I can help them get started.
What kinds of complaints can you come to me with: abdominal and digestive complaints, diarrhea, weight gain or loss, chest complaints, cough, blood pressure issues, headaches, numbness in the limbs, swelling in the legs, febrile illnesses,
skin symptoms, and consultation on lab results and medical findings.
