Within the field of gastroenterology, my specific area of expertise is the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), as well as so-called gluten-related disorders (celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity). These two conditions are often diagnosed in childhood, and in many cases, I am asked to take over their care when these children reach adulthood (this is known as the “transition”).
In recent years, more and more patients have been coming to me for a second opinion on both celiac disease and my other area of expertise, inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis).
