My fundamental goal in my work is to treat patients in a personalized, holistic manner, involving other medical disciplines when necessary. In addition, I place great importance on
building a doctor-patient relationship based on mutual trust, and establishing and implementing a personalized, disease-specific treatment plan for each patient throughout the entire therapeutic process.
My name is Dr. Bálint Kiss, and I am an anesthesiologist and intensive care specialist / pain management specialist / acupuncture physician. My medical work focuses on providing complex, personalized care to patients living with chronic pain.
Education
Cross-border, interdisciplinary experience has always been important to me. Even during my undergraduate studies, I had numerous opportunities to expand my professional experience through internships and study trips abroad.
Among other things, I spent a year as a medical student at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Strasbourg. During my residency training, I had the opportunity to learn about Portuguese anesthesiology training in Porto as part of my professional internship. I also gained valuable experience in the field of anesthesiology during my internship at the University Hospital of Strasbourg.
2012 - Faculty of Medicine, University of Debrecen
Job experience
Early on in my residency, I became interested in regional anesthesia techniques and pain therapy. From the end of 2021, I worked in Germany for four years. Initially, I worked as an anesthesiologist, but in 2023, I had the opportunity to complete a German-accredited specialist training course in pain therapy (Zusatzweiterbildung spezielle Schmerztherapie), which I completed in Bavaria. During my training, I worked in both inpatient and outpatient care. This allowed me to become familiar with a wide range of chronic
pain therapy conditions (and various invasive and non-invasive therapeutic methods).
After graduating from university, I took up a position as a resident doctor at the National Institute of Oncology in Budapest. I passed my specialist exams in anesthesiology and intensive care in 2019.
