In the field of pediatric gastroenterology, I specialize in treating children with inflammatory bowel disease, including biological therapy.
Another major area of interest for me is pediatric pancreatic diseases. As a member of the executive board of the Hungarian Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and as head of the pancreatic section, I am actively involved in ensuring optimal care for pediatric pancreatic diseases by collecting clinical data and organizing studies.
Job experience
After completing my university studies, I worked for 5 years at the 1st Department of Paediatrics of Semmelweis University, first as a resident, then as a specialist. Initially, I spent more time in the neonatal intensive care unit and in neonatology, I participated in diabetology outpatient care and also dealt with obese children. For three years, as a PhD student at the university, I conducted research on inflammatory processes and oxidative stress occurring in acute pancreatitis, as well as on the special form of nutrition used in its treatment (tube feeding).
In our department, we also perform small bowel video capsule examinations in children in Hungary; I am an active participant and organiser of this work and have publications in this field, which is one of my areas of interest. In the field of paediatric gastroenterology, I am also involved in the treatment of children with inflammatory bowel disease, including biological therapy.
