I am Dr Natália Lásztity, a specialist in paediatrics and paediatric gastroenterology, and I have been practising since September 1992, with minor interruptions. As a mother of two children, I have also gained extensive experience in maintaining children’s physical and mental health.
I warmly welcome all concerned parents caring for sick children, and of course their children as well.
Job experience
After obtaining my PhD degree, I started working in the Department of Internal Medicine at Heim Pál Children’s Hospital, and later in the gastroenterology unit, where I currently work as chief physician in my daily practice. I am the deputy head of the endoscopy unit and have been actively performing endoscopic procedures for nearly 10 years.
After completing my university studies, I worked for 5 years at the 1st Department of Paediatrics of Semmelweis University, first as a resident, then as a specialist. Initially, I spent more time in the neonatal intensive care unit and in neonatology, I participated in diabetology outpatient care and also dealt with obese children. For three years, as a PhD student at the university, I conducted research on inflammatory processes and oxidative stress occurring in acute pancreatitis, as well as on the special form of nutrition used in its treatment (tube feeding).
