I graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of Semmelweis University in 2004. Subsequently, I obtained a Ph.D. degree with summa cum laude at the Orthopaedic Clinic of Semmelweis University, with a research fellowship.
Job experience
Since 2005 I have been working at the Orthopaedic-Traumatology Department of the Uzsoki Street Hospital. Since 2010, our department is hosted by the Department of Traumatology of Semmelweis University. I am currently working here as a full-time assistant professor.
In addition to medicine, another of our main tasks is the education of medical students and residents. As part of this, I regularly give university lectures and practicals in English and Hungarian, and I am also involved in the training of residents.
Performed procedures
My main areas of interest are the treatment and prosthetics of sports injuries and large joint abrasions, mainly in the hip and knee. I have been regularly treating similar lesions for the past 17 years. In sportsmen and women, whether amateur or active, minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques (cruciate ligament replacement, meniscus injuries, cartilage replacement) play the main role.
The treatment of hip and knee complaints is particularly motivating, as the elimination/alleviation of lower limb pain, which is a full-body weight-bearing problem, is often a challenge for both the doctor and the patient.
