He graduated from the Semmelweis Medical University, and then qualified in orthopaedics and sports medicine. He obtained his PhD degree with a thesis entitled "Biomechanical and clinical study of femoral press-fit fixation for anterior cruciate ligament replacement". In addition to the knee joint, he has worked more extensively on the treatment of shoulder joint lesions, including a 6-month shoulder surgery fellowship in Melbourne.
He has been treating athletes for 30 years, and has participated in 4 Olympics, several European and World Championships as a doctor for the Hungarian national team. He is involved in the teaching of sports medicine at the Department of Sports Medicine at Semmelweis University.
