"I prefer a gentle, undisturbed delivery, which means that as long as the health of the mother and the foetus allows, we do not interfere with the child's birth. The key to this is patience, which I always give to my mothers. I would like to stress the importance of warning pregnant women who are in favour of a caesarean section: it is an open abdominal operation which can be associated with a number of complications. Natural childbirth is much less dangerous".
