One of the most experienced obstetricians. He is considered a reformer not only in obstetrics but also in gynaecology. He revolutionised surgical procedures by introducing new, internationally advanced surgical techniques, pioneered the use of baby-friendly obstetrics in Hungary, and was the first to introduce the practice of labour in the bath or external foetal delivery.
