About

Common information

  • I think a good doctor is empathetic and patient. The patient should see that he is prepared and believe that what he is saying is for his benefit. But it is also very important that he can explain clearly why the condition he is suffering from has developed and how it can be improved. I try to live up to these principles in my work and I am pleased when I see that my patients appreciate this and return to me with a good heart.
  • Today, more and more people are having vascular problems and the profession is a challenging one. Unfortunately, many people cannot be cured completely, but their condition and quality of life can be significantly improved. This is why it requires a different spirit than general surgery.

Education

  • 1984 Debrecen Medical University, Faculty of Medicine
  • 1988 Specialist examination in surgery

Job experience

  • I started my career in Kisvárda. I have no regrets: I learned a lot in good company and from a great boss. After a year, I transferred to the General Surgery Department of the Kenézy Hospital and Clinic in Debrecen, where I worked for almost 34 years until August 2019. There, I joined the then newly formed vascular surgery team almost immediately - the head of the department encouraged me, because, as he said, this specialty is obviously in my vein through my father. I ended up focusing mainly on it, although I never completely gave up general surgery.
