Performed procedures
During an orthopaedic examination, the first step is to take a musculoskeletal history, which includes the patient's history of previous musculoskeletal diseases, operations, accidents (fractures, sprains, dislocations) and lifestyle information (sports, work).
The second step is the physical examination, during which the orthopaedic specialist examines the patient's gait, posture, joint range of motion and stability, and takes measurements with the help of instruments (angle and length measuring devices, arthrometer).
