My main specialty at present is complex breast diagnostics (which includes mammography, tomosynthesis, ultrasound, MRI examinations, as well as biopsies), but in addition I also perform a large number of abdominal, pelvic, vascular, thyroid, testicular and other soft tissue ultrasound examinations, as well as X‑ray and CT reporting, covering all regions of the body.
Education
I obtained my medical degree in 1997 at the Faculty of General Medicine of Semmelweis University of Medicine. In 2004 I obtained a PhD degree in the field of gastroenterology, and in 2005 I passed my radiology board examination. In 2012–2013 I passed the Complex Breast Diagnostics proficiency examination and subsequently obtained the Breast Diagnostics licence.
Courses
In addition to my diagnostic work, I have been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and I have also remained active in research, contributing to developments in the field of artificial intelligence in breast cancer diagnostics and lung cancer diagnostics.
Job experience
I started my career at Szent János Hospital, where I learned the fundamentals of the profession, working with several modalities (conventional X‑ray diagnostics, ultrasound, CT, MRI) and in various fields (in almost every specialty from paediatric radiology to traumatology). From 2009 I worked as a specialist at Szent Imre Hospital, later becoming head of the department. In 2016 I took on the leadership of the Mammography Department at Semmelweis University.
