During my undergraduate studies, I was initially interested in pediatrics, and my research project for the Student Research Society focused on pediatric endocrinology. As I neared graduation, however, my interest shifted increasingly toward adult medicine. Within that field, I became particularly interested in gastroenterology.
My main areas of interest include IBD (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease), reflux disease, stomach and duodenal disorders, celiac disease, lactose intolerance, and colorectal abnormalities (polyps, diverticula, etc.).
I consider the fight against colorectal cancer—which is currently the second most common cancer—to be a particular challenge.
