Manual and compression therapy is the most effective treatment for lymphedema, which affects 2 per cent of the adult population, and is used to heal chronic wounds from tumour, stroke, post-irradiation limb, trunk and neck oedema, and leg swelling following deep vein thrombosis, as well as leg ulcers and to improve movement and circulation in the affected area.
With the approval of an oncologist, dermatologist, surgeon, attending physician, I treat patients who have undergone cancer treatment with the necessary compression bandaging, teach effective bandaging and lifestyle at home.
