What I liked about herbs is that their effects can be logically deduced from their active ingredients I still find it exciting to make herbal mixtures. You have to look at the multiple components of many herbs and see which component strengthens and weakens each other with which other component. There are some active ingredients that no one but is brilliant, and there are some that everyone knows but are useless. Once I feel I have the blend down, the next step is to figure out the taste and look of the tea. Finally, based on the feedback of the people who come to me, I further shape the recipe, like a gardener shaping a small tree.
What struck me about obstetrics and gynaecology is that the cure rate is high. It's multifaceted, because you can fight pathogens, do ultrasound, adjust hormones, care for the pregnant, give birth, operate.
