Within urology, his fields of interest are radical oncologic surgery, thoracoabdominal nephrectomy, retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy, radical prostatectomy, cystectomy and bladder substitution using an isolated bowel segment, as well as urological plastic surgeries. He has also performed such surgeries for demonstration purposes in other hospitals. He was the first to apply the four basic types of bladder substitution surgeries in our country.
